   With my willpower I was lucky to get rid of my excess weight and anti–hypertension drugs which I had been continually (perennially) swallowing for more than six years. As I´m writing, in spring 2009, I´ve done physical training for two years, given seven…

   Blood donations and run a half marathon. Now in 2011, when editing and translating the English version, the physical training has continued and number of blood donations has risen. I´m about to run my first full marathon in Athens, Greece. Read my journey at Markku Tauriainen´s Blog.

   Willpower is everything, if you want to succeed and grow as a person ― overcome the challenges, set and achieve goals. Then man can write in stone proving his work ethic and the importance of willpower.

Paavo Johannes Nurmi was a Finnish runner (13 June 1897 – 2 October 1973). Nurmi won a total of nine gold and three silver medals in the 12 events in which he competed at the Olympic Games from 1920 to 1928. Markku Tauriainen Preface Inspire Me -bookNew snow fell slowly. Christmas 1972 was approaching. The neighbor boys were selling pins from door to door. A frosty evening raised the little boy, Markku’s competitive instinct in a way that brought a lump in the throat.

   Something had to be done about it and quickly. In the home kitchen, Markku’s anxious father turned to his side: “Dad, can I sell something?”

   With his father´s instructions the young enthusiastic salesman went to the nearest village shop ― asked from the woman director: “What are the best-selling Christmas cards and how many do you have for sale?”

   Immediate business took place at the local shop. Markku bought all the commercially available cards with the money received from his father. This action, almost totally on instinct, started the road to success.

   The same evening, the Christmas cards were on the kitchen table. Markku sought instructions from his father: “What do I have to say at the door when someone comes to open? What price shall I use? What do I say if they want to buy?”

   There was no doubt that the little man was in earnest. Courage, and guidelines for action, only lasted a few minutes. A new retailer moved to present his business idea to the neighbor’s boys. A small conference was the result. Two boys under 10 years old went out boldly to sell door to door. At this point, Markku heard that Jari’s older brother sold the pins with the war veterans illegally inflated prices.

   I need to sell, I need to sell ― sorry to bother you, I’m sorry to bother you, Markku repeated, perfecting the words aloud for what to say when the first door opened. “Good evening, I’m sorry to interrupt. My name is Markku, we sell Christmas cards, 25 pence each. Have you bought Christmas cards yet? Then the young Entrepreneur flashed his best aces forward.

   Huge heat came upon a small heart, when the first card deal was done. I succeeded! Trade is booming ― the next customer, they buy? The first evening was a huge success. Local families bought all the Christmas cards (those who had not yet purchased). Only one old witch refused to purchase, while she could buy cards five pence cheaper 100 meters away store. Talking was eating into confidence so the young merchants hit the ground running.

   Good results had been immediately informed to the parents. Almost all cards had been sold and the profits had been born in a nice way ― by making cash deals only! Victory was celebrated at home base.

   As early as two weeks from that time, I next sold my mother’s manufactured leather gloves, again door-to-door. Two years passed by and I got a week’s break from school to travel with my father as an interpreter on an export journey to Sweden. I no longer talked to the housewives, but the store owners, managers and buyers: “I’m sorry to be a nuisance – we are a family business ― and we sell these nice designer gloves…

   In my book I go through all about sales with my 30+ years’ experience; things I learned, including juicy stories and successes ― on which they were based.

I GO IN FRONT, FIGHT FOR YOUR BEHALF

Bruce LeeRight now, as I am writing this book, I feel most alive. All the matters seem significant and strong. First book is like a firstborn child: It had been expected to come and the feeling is splendid, when it is now created. Achievements raise my mind ― always.

I have nailed part of my feelings and soul to this book, which I have cleared with hard work and struggle. I believe in reincarnation, that clear and pure soul is eternal and able to return on earth to help you ― to fight with you in life and in sales. Also you can be a soul, which gets to be the seller´s diamond, samurai-fighter like Miyamoto Musashi was in his times. A diamond, which shines clear in the sky and will reincarnate again and again.

Inevitably someday that moment will dawn, when my body collapses and will switch from time to eternity. My body and my mind will run out, but my will never will. It lives forever. This way I have decided.

Don´t you neither give in ― never! When your heart burns with real flame, it carries from here to eternity, to the sellers heaven. Remember that in incarnation the soul always returns to help that seller, who raises his sword, receives the challenge and starts to grind his own diamond. Hard work brings results ― you get nothing for free. Prove that you are one of the best. Light up to be a diamond in sellers sky. I will go in front and fight on your behalf up till the end. You can trust on that.

Inspire Me Markku TauriainenAs I was writing this book I worked as an ordinary telemarketer in the front line of Call Center and I received customer´s explanations and objections for three months. I lived, fought and won. How did I succeed in demanding ´cold call´ telemarketing? I became ― number 1 ― Finland´s best telemarketer of Nokia mobilephones in 2009.

I won the Nokia competition, which lasted for two months. Hundreds of colleagues was left behind. In the age of 48.

Once again I won myself by receiving the challenge. I made the sales history and broke my own records and records made. I do not remember anymore how often I have done that during my life, but reaching goals has always been rewarding. Also you should get inspired by sales and making of sales. Be good, and it is possible to become better.

CALL ME – the next book – I write all of the best and juiciest explanations, complaints and objections I have heard from customers, so that we can identify with all of those. Why? Therefore that we could walk over them and still develop as a seller. I write the instructions for suppressing the most general objections with good 2000´s examples. Step in to the next level and learn how to decide, to close deals. Closing is everything – art of selling!

ChagallThe life is a short period of time, certainly under one hundred years – the soul, your inspiri is evian – lux aeterna – and your honour, perennnial it is.

If there is a will, there is a way.

So – Rise The Knight – once again. Find your purpose and mission. Awhile you are here, listen your inner voice. Find it.

Three Generations Of Hard Work

Ask for a deal, then you have workThe Jews have a phrase: The real entrepreneurship is created in three man generations. First father looks, then son does, then grandson learns. As a seller you have to be thorough, persistent and enthusiastic. All the stones must be turned all the way around. The matters have to be studied and repeated. When you do and give everything you have and do it for a long time, you can wait to get results.

Only hard, extremely hard work is rewarded. Realise this and open this book, whenever you have the possibility for it. If Jews have learned during generations, that entrepreneurship and sellers are created in three generations, how could you wait to get to be the king in one or two months.

If I honestly estimate my sales career, which has lasted for 35 years, I want to say humbly, that only results earned with hard work are lasting. I have had to return to my source often to find enthusiasm, know-how and will.

DiamondThe diamonds accumulated into my treasure chest are always clearer, and more valuable, the more hard selling I do. Even if the chest was full of diamonds, in sales a man never get to free riders position.

Man has to get excited about selling over and over again and with passion. When you walk often enough to the sedge, where work and hoe is waiting, you become humble.

At this stage I want to make clear that humility is not crawling and asking forgiveness ― not parrots whistle. The servility has to be understood as a wisdom to take new work and field courageously. If your will, attitude and desire are encouraging for hard work, you are always rewarded.

Be a pioneer from your soul and start working from morning untill night. Make sales without sorrow. Kick yourself forward. Give your all until you are knackered. Rest at night and start a new morning and a new working day with enthusiasm and joy. This way your father and mother, grandfather and grandmother have done.

Hard work is already done creasting the pearl necklace of your family tree, but it is your honour to shine brightest and to maintain the treasures and crowns of your family.

Get inspired by your own doing again and again. Count the deals done by you, not working days. Get to be the clearest star in the sky and shine.
